The 2nd Moscow International Exhibition of Real Estate Abroad INTERHOME was held from 19 to 22 March in Expocentr at Krasnaya Presnya. INTERHOME was held alongside the 15th International exhibition “Travel and Tourism / MITT”, the main tourist exhibition of Russia and the third most significant tourist event worldwide.
The opening ceremony was the first event, which gave the start to four days of exhibitions work. Participants of the exhibitions were welcomed by E. Drapeko, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee of the State Duma of the RF for Culture, G. Antyufeev, Chairman of the Committee for Tourism of Moscow Government, I. Korotin, Director if Exhibition and Fair Department of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the RF, and T. Portnova, Deputy of Moscow City Duma.
Alexander Shtalenkov, General Director of ITE, said: “Interest shown by Russian people to real estate abroad is visibly growing. According to experts? estimate, in 2006, the number of those intending to purchase real estate abroad, increased by 60% in comparison with last year. At present, the share of Russian buyers in the market of international real estate equals to about 5 — 6%, and many Russians buy luxury property. But recently the market of international real estate has become more affordable and open-end for middle class too”.
More than 90 companies from 25 countries participated in the exhibition, including France, Bulgaria, Great Britain, Finland, Latvia, Spain, Cyprus, USA, Greece, Tenerife, Dominican Republic, Montenegro, Portugal, Italy, Tunisia, Croatia, Egypt, Turkey, Czech Republic and Russia. Exhibitors included international real estate brokers, developers, construction companies, consultants, management and leasing companies.
SultanHomes (Turkey) participated at the exhibition for the second time. Nina Volkova, Director of the Representation of SultanHomes in Moscow, appreciated productive results of the exhibition: “Due to well coordinated work of the organisers? team, the work at the exhibition was easy and pleasant. We were glad to see visitors? interest to SultanHomes complex in Kemer. Visitors came with specific inquiries and interest”.
Cairo Star Group (Egypt) presented its projects in the field of real estate in Egypt for the first time in Russia. Representatives of the company emphasized the importance of running the event alongside MITT. In their opinion, this allows tourist companies obtaining the necessary information in regard to the development of their business trends in real estate.
Daniela Nakova, Adler Estate Company (Bulgaria), mentioned professional visitors at INTERHOME: “The event was organised up to the highest standards. It is an excellent idea to allow admission to the exhibition for trade visitors only during the first two days of the exhibition. Very friendly environment all day long and an excellent gala-reception dedicated to the opening of the exhibition in Hard Rock Cafe”.
Zlata Marinka, FinStory (Bulgaria), agrees with her colleague: “It is the first time for us to take part in an exhibition abroad. That is why it was especially for us to get some support. Starting from the very first contact with the organisers, we received comprehensive answers to all our questions. We were literally led by the hand. We are very grateful for the patience and professionalism of the organisers. We have excellent impressions of the exhibition and professional and smart audience”.
The 3rd Moscow International Exhibition of Real Estate Abroad INTERHOME will be held from 1 to 3 October 2008 in Expocentr at Krasnaya Presnya alongside Leisure exhibition.
